I am grateful and honored to have two of my paintings hanging in a juried show in Raleigh, NC for the next several weeks! The title for one of them, “Regally Clothed”, refers to Matthew 6: 25-34, where Jesus says,” See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of those.” Ah, the splendor of flowers! We have but to bend a little closer and take a second look (along with that sniff), to see the exquisite plan of the Almighty! His name is written upon every delicate petal! They are messengers with silent lips…and as Jesus said, ” If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow thrown into the fire, will He not much more clothe you – you of little faith?” We can rest assured that the Master Gardener has our backs!
Beautiful, Marcia. I so enjoy reading the reason behind each one of your pieces.
